Better Place to put recharging points at railway stations

Better Place, Shai Agassi's electric car initiative, will join forces with another "green" method of transport: the train. Israel Railways and Better Place are to sign an agreement today to establish recharging points for the firm's car batteries in railway station parking lots. Better Place has already reached similar agreements in principle with a number of large companies, malls and the kibbutzim. The plan is for 220 charging points in Railways' parking lots, for use while car owners take the train. This is a relatively small percentage of the tens of thousands of cars that park every day at the stations. Charging points will be available at the following stations: Haifa-Bat Galim, Haifa Center, Acre, Beit Yehoshua, Herziliya, Hod Hasharon, Petah Tikva-Segula, Petah Tikva-Kiryat Arye, Bnei Brak and Pe'atei Modi'in.
