New economic model?

What if a company only had to seed a game once or twice a month.
What if users paid based on how often they played a game rather than for the game? What if this time played had a cap?

We'd get higher quality games with more content.

Pay to play subscriptions... it's working for World of Warcraft. Why not consoles?
