What I use

So lets talk about software.

First off we've got Cam2PC. Wonderful little app for organizing your pictures. It'll collapse directories and recreate them via whatever criteria you set. Myself I have set to put pictures into folders arranged by year and date. You can break it down even further to hour or what not, but usually by day will suffice.

After that, I use Picasa for very general image browsing and light touchups. It's free too! They keep coming out with more and more support for it and it integrates well with email, Blogger and Google Earth.

Heavier touchups get a shot of Photoshop CS2. If you can't "find" that you probably can't afford it either.

Three programs for the most part. They've all got their place and uhm that's about it.
